A Mountain Vacation for Your Dog
We offer limited boarding for small breed dogs at our home in beautiful Conifer, Colorado. When your dog stays with us, they're welcomed into our daily life, and live alongside our family – including our own friendly Havanese.
We offer a spacious and securely fenced front yard to play in, and take walks around our property every day so that your dog can enjoy adventures exploring our woods and finding new sights and smells while stretching their legs. Along the way, they might encounter other animals (we have barn cats who enjoy joining us on walks, as well as horses, chickens, and wildlife like elk and deer).
The dogs spend their days with us around the house, and sleep comfortably in their own crates each night.
Small-Scale and Personal
We welcome a maximum of 3 dogs at any time so that each dog can receive plenty of one-on-one attention and care. Our own dogs are well-socialized, and accustomed to having canine visitors share their space and family. We share your dog's adventures with you through photo updates sent mid-stay, or weekly for longer visits.
Your Dog's Safety is Our Priority
We understand that it can be nerve-wracking to entrust your beloved dog to anyone else, and we take this responsibility very seriously. Safety precautions include:
All outdoor time is supervised.
Our yard is securely fenced.
Walks are on-leash.
We maintain appropriate boundaries between dogs and farm animals, as well as wildlife.
We're always aware of each dog's location and activity.
All dogs are properly introduced, and we're experienced in reading canine body language to prevent potential conflicts.
Current vaccinations are required.
Rates and Details
$65 per day
$5 discount per day for stays longer than two weeks
$5 discount per day for additional dogs from your family
50% deposit required to reserve dates
While our regular boarding doesn't include training, we do offer a board & train program at an additional $40 per day for those interested in working on specific skills.
We offer an optional pick-up and drop-off service to/from the western Denver Metro area for a $20 fee each way, to help simplify your travel logistics.
What to Pack
To ensure your dog feels comfortable during their mountain getaway, please bring:
Their crate and familiar bedding from home
Regular food (enough for their entire stay plus an extra day)
Any medications, with clear instructions
Favorite toys or comfort items
Special treats they particularly enjoy
Their usual leash and collar or harness
Before your dog's visit, we'll send a short intake form to learn about their daily routines, preferences, and any special needs. This helps us maintain consistency and make their transition to our home as smooth as possible. Most dogs settle in beautifully when we mirror their home schedules for meals, walks, and quiet times.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, especially when traveling. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair while helping us manage our limited openings:
Cancellations made 7+ days before scheduled boarding: Full refund of your deposit.
Cancellations 3-6 days before scheduled boarding: 50% refund of your deposit.
Cancellations less than 3 days before scheduled boarding: No refund, but credit toward future stay For emergency situations, we're always willing to discuss exceptions. We've created this policy to balance flexibility with respecting that each booking means we've reserved limited space specifically for your dog.

We'll also ask about your dog's routines, preferences, and any special needs so we can maintain their familiar comforts while they're with us.
